The Amprobe TMA-20HW Hotwire anemometer technology eliminates the use of bearings and rotating parts. When compared to standard bearing type probes, the compact Amprobe hotwire sensor is more reliable (no mechanical moving parts) and allows for easier access to duct and confined spaces. The Amprobe TMA-20HW Hotwire anemometer measures air flow volume and velocity, it features a telescopic probe for positioning the sensor, and is used by HVAC/R technicians to measure wind flow and temperature in air conditioning systems.
Air velocity is measured in feet per minute (feet/min), and meters per second (m/s), knots (KNT), kilometers per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph). Air flow volume is measured in cubic meters per second (CMS) and cubic feet per minute (CFM). The dual-scale thermistor temperature sensor measures temperature in F and C. The meter has minimum, maximum, average, and hold functions for recording data. The meter requires six AAA batteries (included), and includes a hard-sided carrying case, and instructions.
