The amber DURAN®
laboratory glass bottles also protect media from light radiation with a
wavelength between 300 and 500 nm. They are, therefore, particularly suitable for use with
light-sensitive media and for long-term storage of substances.
Light transmission in the wavelength range between 300 und 500 nm is, in comparison with
DURAN®
clear glass < 10%. Accordingly amber DURAN®
glass corresponds to USP and EP
guidelines.
Consistent external application of the color ensures that internal surfaces have standard
DURAN® glass properties.
Special thermal method also results in long durability and good chemical resistance of the
amber color.
Working under pressure and vacuum
DURAN®
laboratory bottles are, with the exception of the pressure-resistant DURAN®
pressure
plus bottles, in general not suitable for use under pressure or in a vacuum.
